FEDOA

Whilst working at Moreton Marine in Cowes I was part of the team which undertook the restoration of the 1927 Mylne yacht Fedoa of Bute. This was a full, keel up restoration which took two and a half years and included replacing the stem, sternpost, all the frames below the waterline, a third of the planks and the deck. A brand new interior was built of solid Brazilian Mahogany and new deck house and deck structures were made up out of teak. For more info about this project go to fedoa.blogspot.co.uk.
CATAMARAN A65
At Moreton Marine I was involved in the fit out of a luxury Catamaran in Abu Dhabi. The design spec. was that it had to look like a cross between a Bentley and a Rolex watch. The whole interior and the teak decks were made up in Cowes as flat panels of foam cored ply for lightness, cut exactly to autocad drawings. These were shipped out to Abu Dhabi where we met them and assembled them in the boat.

GREENLAND QAJAQ
Greenland Style ‘Qajaq’, built as a wintertime project, this is a great boat to paddle, tough, fast and easy to manoeuver. This boat is built of cedar with ash ribs, covered with painted cotton canvas and after 3 seasons of hard use around the Isle of Wight, still looks as good as it did when it was launched.
